King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 25.894 tons of food baskets to needy families in Yemen's Marib governorate on Sunday.

Those food baskets will benefit 1،624 individuals from the needy Yemeni people.

This comes within the food assistance project، provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief for needy families in Yemen.

Yemen is among the top beneficiaries of the Saudi center KSrelief assistance. The center has implemented 724 projects in Yemen، costing more than $4.1 billion.

KSrelief has implemented 2،086 projects around the world worth almost $6 billion in 86 countries. The initiatives have been carried out in cooperation with 175 local، regional and international partners since the inception of the center in May 2015.

Yemen has been mired in a war since the Houthi militia overran much of the country militarily and seized all northern provinces، including the capital Sanaa، in 2014.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a military Arab coalition that intervened in Yemen in 2015 to support the former government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi after the Houthis forced him into exile.
