King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched a project to distribute 16،000 food baskets to the displaced and needy families in Marib governorate Yemen، benefiting 16،000 families.

This aid comes within the relief projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia، through KSrelief، to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and affected families in various Yemeni governorates.

The war began in 2014 when Iran-backed Houthi militias  swept from the mountains and captured northern Yemen and the capital Sanaa.

The conflict in Yemen has brought the country to the brink of famine and created one of the world's worst humanitarian disasters.

The Yemeni war has killed in excess of 150،000 people according to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project. It also displaced tens of families around the country.
