Saudi center implements water, electricity projects in Yemen‏

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) has implemented water supply projects and environmental sanitation projects in the districts of Midi, Abs, Hiran, and Haradh in the Yemeni governorate of Hajjah, the state-run Saudi Press Agency said.

 

KSRelief has also provided three high-performance electricity generators at hospitals in Jableh, Nasser, and Buraim in the Yemeni governorate of Ibb, to ensure continued provision of sustainable healthcare to more than 1.8mn beneficiaries throughout the year.

 

Between 17 December 2020 and 23 December 2020, more than 1.132mn litres of used water was pumped; more than 760,000 litres of healthy water was pumped; more than eight sanitation campaigns were carried out; and more than 28 transfers were carried out to transport waste from the camps, benefiting 6,320 people.

 

KSRelief aims to enhance the health situation in various Yemeni directorates and regions while providing the best medical services to Yemeni people, according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency.

 

The centre – under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Ruler of Saudi Arabia HRH King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince HRH Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – has implemented more than 240 health projects in all Yemeni governorates.
