Clashes kill 6 from Houthi militias‏

The pro government forces in Yemen said on Saturday clashes that broke out between the Houthi rebels and the Yemeni pro government forces in Taiz province have resulted in the death of five Yemeni soldiers and six rebels.

 

A statement released by the pro government forces said that an "intense armed confrontations broke out between the army soldiers and the Houthi attackers in the vicinity of the Republican Palace located east of Taiz".

 

The clashes have left five pro government fighters dead and killed six Houthi members, a field commander of the Houthi militants is among the decreased, the statement added.

 

The pro government fighters say that the Houthi rebels, who are backed by Iran, have pushed Taiz for military escalation as they increased their attacks.
