An Arab Coalition fighter jet has crashed in Yemen’s northern province of Al-Jawf, the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said Saturday.

The Tornado aircraft came down on Friday night during an operation to support Yemeni government forces, Coalition Spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.

Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Hubaishi, a Yemeni army commander, said that legitimate forces have taken control of strategic locations on Sirwah front west of Marib province.

The control of the positions have cut off supply routes for the Houthi militias, he told September Net website.

The army’s advance at Sirwah front has caused deaths and injuries among Houthi fighters, he added.
