The Saudi-led coalition forces discovered explosive mines in Yemen’s southern Midi port yesterday, Al-Arabiya reported.

Yemen’s national army removed the explosives without triggering fatal blasts or causing injury.

According to MEMO , coalition forces, including the United States, have highlighted that Iran has set up an underground network to arm the Houthi group, which is directly contributing to Yemen’s civil war.

The Iranian-backed Houthi group has been attacking commercial oil tankers and military vessels across the southern and Red Sea Waterway known as Bab El-Mandeb.

The coalition forces entered the war to reinstate President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and push back military advancements by the Houthi group. Securing the strategic commercial waterways and Yemen’s ports are also an important objective of the coalition.
