Saudi Arabia reaffirms commitment to rebuilding Yemen‏

Saudi Finance Minister Mohammad Al-Jadaan asserted Wednesday that his country is following up closely the humanitarian situation in Yemen and works hard with all friendly nations and GCC countries to rebuild Yemen on many fronts.

In a joint press conference with the Vice President of International Bank in the Middle East Hafez Ghanem, Al-Jadaan made his remarks at the conclusion of the rebuilding Yemen preliminary meeting.

Al-Jadaan added,according to Kuwait News Agency(KUNA) the meeting discussed a draft paper which was prepared by the International Bank and was presented to all those attended the meeting, noting that the paper highlighted Yemen's current needs and future development needs to rebuild Yemen.

For his part, Ghanem said that the draft on rebuilding Yemen also delved into three main topics for future development in Yemen.

Earlier, a preliminary meeting on efforts to rebuild Yemen, kicked off with Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin Daghr in attendance.

The meeting has been called to examine whether regional and global organizations are ready to face the herculean task of rebuilding a nation battered by years of war.
