Yemeni troops captured a senior leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) on Tuesday.

Special forces, after accurate monitoring , were able to arrest the senior leader of al Qaeda Abu Ali al-Sayari, a local security official said.

The sources said that al-Sayari is one of the most dangerous elements of al-Qaeda, one of the members of the organization who participated in the massacre in 2014 of a number of soldiers of the first military zone in the area of Huta Habib Zain in the valley of Hadramout in the southeast.
