When the disaster of cyclone that hit Yemen occurred , especially in the coastal cities and villages, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board Minister and Minister of presidential Affairs and chairman of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan humanitarian Foundation , directed to send urgent aid to the Yemeni province of Socotra  to assist its population affected that by the hurricane "Tshabalala

The Emirati News Agency ( WAM) quoted an official source in Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan humanitarian Foundation as saying that a plane loaded by 60 tones of food and aid materials , consists of blankets and tents left Sharjah International Airport to Socotra , after the disaster, in order to provide urgent aid to the people of Yemen as a result of the hurricane that surrounded the population in many areas of the island
