Know what Yemen's deputy chief of staff said before his martyrdom‏

Asharq Al-Awsat reported yesterday that Deputy Chief of General Staff of Yemeni Armed Forces Major General Ahmed Saif said that the army detected Iranian-made bombs, used earlier by Lebanese “Hezbollah” and currently by Houthi militias to target leaders in the Yemeni national army

These bombs are made of fiberglass and look like rocks, so that they can be easily concealed on roadsides. They even have cameras that send images and information for the militias, Saif told Asharq Al-Awsat in a statement

He explained that as army leaders’ vehicles pass by the main roads in Yemen, these rock-like bombs explode

Saif said that the army did not arrest any Iranian figures, yet during the recent clashes many Yemenis who studied and graduated from Iranian academies died, in addition to a large number of field commanders of the militias, especially in Mokha

Iran has been directly involved in providing Houthi and Saleh militias with arms. Most recently they used islands west of Yemen to smuggle weapons and deliver them to the insurgents, Saif noted

Regarding the release of prisoners, Saif confirmed that the national army released many prisoners, mostly teenagers, who had no clue why they were participating in the war

He said that the army takes into consideration the humanitarian situation, and so it always releases those unaware of their actions or forced to fight by the insurgents
