Yemeni army liberates new strategic sites in Midi

Government forces announced on Sunday liberating new military sites in Midi and Herd area in Hajja province ,north-western Yemen, after the battles against Houthi gunmen and forces loyal to Saleh.

The Media Centre of the Military Region V said on its Facebook page that " the government forces were able to liberate the Green Tepe and Abo Alqiada site and Al-Hode area, these are sites in south-eastern Midi city.

24 gunmen from Houthi and Saleh militias were killed during the clashes in addition to the injury of others as well as, the government forces captured one of the elements of the Houthis.

The army restored many of the light and medium weapons that were held by the putschists, the Centre confirmed pointing out to that with the battles and victories by government forces, the national army had approached tighten their grip on the city of Midi northern Yemen.
