Houthi and Saleh militias imposed financial sums on the population of At Tuhayat District which is most affected with the famine in Hodeida province, west of Yemen

Local sources said that the Houthi militia and the ousted imposed sums of money on the inhabitants of At Tuhayat District, which topped the list of the Tihama areas ravaged by famine and the local and international channels broadcast images of its children, men and women of weak structures because of hunger and poverty

The sources pointed out that indulging in collective punishment and starve Tehama sons the district Houthi supervisor called Abu Ahmed Hadi and the Houthi-loyalist called Badr Ashour and some sheikhs forced the population in the district to support the coupists with money, from every house in the district uncaring to the suffering of people and rising hunger rate that is sweeping the areas still under the control of militias
