Al-Qaeda leader Ammar Qaid, known as Abo Ali al-Lahiji, was killed in an operation carried out by the Yemeni security forces on his house in the capital of Lahij ,Huta

The raid carried out by a unit from “counter-terrorism” forces in Lahij police , supported by the military . They raided his house to arrested him but he denied to surrender . Exchange of fire occurred led to his killing , said provincial police chief Saleh Sayed

The raid in the province was carried out as part of a vast operation against al-Qaeda in Lahij ,the northern entrance of Aden as a result of the terrorists operations that occurred in Aden during the last months .
