Governor of Marib, Sultan Al-Arada, has supervised the distribution of 10,000 food parcels donated by Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) across the governorate
The governor thanked the UAE leadership, government and people for helping the people of Yemen

"This aid reflects the depth of brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples," he said

"This aid package comes as part of the humanitarian aid programme provided by the ERC to various governorates of Yemen. It is an expression that the UAE people share the concerns faced by their brothers in Marib amid difficult circumstances," said Ahmed Hassan Hadi Al-Saifi, Head of the ERC team

Al Saifi noted that the ERC’s assistance follows the course and legacy established by late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for extending a helping hand to brotherly people. This gesture, he said, has been sustained by the current wise leadership

Al Saifi said that the fourth phase of the aid campaign targets 10,000 families. He also thanked the local authority in Marib for providing the ERC with all necessary data on beneficiaries and the distribution mechanism to ensure that the aid reaches the needy

The launch of the fourth campaign was attended by Dr. Abed Rabbu Muftah, Under-Secretary of Marib Governorate, Head of the Relief Committee in the governorate, members of the relief committee and the ERC team
