Al-Qaeda attack in Abyan killed four Yemeni soldiers
Four soldiers were killed and two wounded in a suspected Al-Qaeda attack ,at a late time on Sunday evening , on a checkpoint in southern Yemen
"Terrorist elements attacked soldiers at a checkpoint in the town of Loder in Abyan province killing 4 soldiers and wounding two others" medical source ,requesting anonymity, said according to the wounded witnesses
Local sources said that al-Qaeda elements attacked the checkpoint using RPGs and medium machine guns
Although al-Qaeda fighters were driven out of towns and cities in Abyan province in September by government forces backed by a Saudi-led coalition, this is the third time in which a checkpoints in Loder exposed to attacks by al-Qaeda elements
