The clashes erupted between al-Qaeda elements and the security belt forces in Yemen's Abyan
Local sources said that violent confrontations between al Qaeda militants and troops from the security zone take place , in the meantime, in Abyan province, southern Yemen.
The sources said that the clashes are taking place in Mount "Yassouf" in the "Lauder" District in the province for nearly an hour.
According to the sources, the clashes broke out after al-Qaeda members targeted points belongs to the security belt with RPGs mortars .
Recently, it was noted the escalation of al Qaeda activity in the province .
