UAE pledges further support of USD230M to Yemen‏

The UAE vowed further support of USD230 million to Yemen, ahead of the United Nations Pledging Conference,  the state news agency WAM reported.

According to the agency the support is going to finance international programs that convene Yemenis’ medical, nutritional, and food security requirements.

The UAE funded over USD6 billion of the mentioned support to Yemen since 2015, concentrating on helping the country’s humanitarian requirements, like education and other services.

The agency further reported that the UAE is considered one of the largest international donors to Yemen’s COVID-19 response.
