Saudi minister, SDRPY sign MoU to revive Yemeni sport‏

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation to support sport in Yemen and improve the efficiency of sports facilities in the country, London-based newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reported.

 

The MoU was signed by Saudi Arabia's Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sport, and Muhammad Bin Saeed Al Jaber, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Yemen and the general supervisor of SDRPY.

 

The deal comes as a continuation of the Saudi Arabia's efforts to deploy all the capabilities of government agencies to assist brothers in Yemen in alleviating their suffering. It also comes within the framework of SDRPY to establish partnerships with various entities and organizations locally and internationally to develop Yemen in various fields, the daily added.

 

In addition to boosting the capabilities of the Yemeni youth, the partnership aims to develop various sporting activities in Yemen and produce specialists in the fields of sport and culture.
